BREXIT !!!:D:DBUSBY.

They’ve all finished building them?:D

I think they have dispersed, joined other forums, I know of one on another forum. I also enjoyed going on there occasionally.

Jim reopened the other site. For now

Sisters are doing it for themselves. Annie Lennox. Hope that helps.

where, please?
I had an email from someone asking if I could recover it as they had some build information and photos they wanted to recover. I did that with the intention of deleting it once done. But life got in the way and I forgot to do it. Meanwhile I discovered a few people had found it open and started posting again and i didn't have the heart to disappoint them again so left it. I've since had a look around and found that those who had taken issue with me were now warmly ensconced elsewhere so I've decided to leave it open. It will stay open as long as people visit. (y)

I was toying with the idea of buying this from the military sales but I don't think I can dedicate the time needed:

We would certainly set a trend :D

The one in my pic is a dry stored military vehicle (10T chassis 175BHP 3.0TD Iveco) with circa 2,300 miles on the clock. There are three others available.

Lots of work involved so with that in mind I really admire what you've done with yours (y)

have you got any more details on this van, is it 2300 or 230,000 which is what ours has got on it

The van in the pic has 2,519 miles on the clock and the other three have between four and eight thousand each.

Here's a screenshot FYI with all of the contact, cost, sales process and vehicle details. The MOD sales team number is: 01476 861361.

You'll have to pay VAT if supplied in the UK, plus a 10% sales tax, but if you phone them directly then you may be able to do a deal.

All the best,

Andrew

I was thinking of going down the ex-ambulance route here but having gone in to it some more the maintenance leaves a lot to be desired. Yes they have brand new crate engines but the system here is that they are all supplied by private firms that tender for the contracts to the regional health services to supply & maintain the vehicles. Therefore when they are approaching end of life the minimum gets done:(

yeah but that ambulance is well getting on to what you could get a new van for, and when done and said all its still going to be a converted ambulance , what a lot of folks dont like.

but a van with that spec brand new before being kitted out as an ambulance would be knocking on £30k, its no basic farm vehicle

I priced up converting a new iveco 3 litre about 5 years ago. All finished £43k

A lot of self converters will not get their money back if selling -(I don't expect it)-but they have a van to suit their personal needs. Some of the Named manafacturers don't come up to scratch for all the high prices .
