In the news today it now cost £100+ to fill a family car. What does it now cost to fill your motorhome with diesel. I still get a good deal filling up at Costco but some areas must be costing you a fortune.

Topped mine up on the way to Holbeach at a Jet garage, £1.779 per litre, cheapest I had seen for a while. I had a quarter of a tank and filled up to the first gurgle o_O £84.99.
Had to lie down afterwards.

Last fill was £135, not totally empty but showing 75 miles range. This was at our local garage, which is expensive (£1.96 per litre) but I do try to support as it’s a local business serving the community. Luckily we don’t do a lot of miles, if we did maybe I’d think again 🤣

£119 last weekend, not really took any notice of the price increase when filling the van but the diesel ka we have used to be £35 to fill, now its £50.....that seems to be a bigger jump 🤔

£110.01 yesterday most places were £1.83ltr filled ot got 10 miles down the road £1.77ltr , typical thought I'd too would support small independent garage, so far supported local cidery, local shop/cafe, local buffalo farm, and now Lyndon Top might be a local pub tonight 😉

Sainsburys in Cornwall £1.77. Sainsburys near Nottingham £1.78. I can’t rember exactly how much I put in but the first fill was just over £90 for 3/4 of a tank the second one was £100 because we were a bit lower.
Yes it was a bit hard on the pocket but we can use the nectar points on the next food shop. If we want to travel it’s a fact of life and something we can’t do a lot about.

I have not been able to afford to fill it for some time. 💸💸💸💸

Last time I tried to fill the car I got to £90 and gave up. 💸💸💸💸

The real question is, with the oil companies reporting such massive profits, why are we paying so much?

I reckon they're just greedy and know they can get away with it. 😠

Don't think the governments tax reduction helped. I filled up the day it came in (still had half a tank) but it soon shot up even higher than it was before! 😠

There was no compulsion to deduct the tax reduction???

I filled ours last week ready for the Bruges visit next week.
Once it got over £90 i just thought sod it .
It costs what it costs, nothing i can do about it.
🤷‍♂️
Ps that was from 1/3 full to start with.

From empty mine would be about £160 at present prices.
The day the govt cut fuel duty by 5p a litre to 'help' us, my local stations price went up 6p a litre not down 5p a litre.

"I don't want to talk about it, how it broke my heart
If I stay here just a little bit longer
If I stay here, won't you listen to my heart, whoa, heart?
I don't want to talk about it, how it broke this old heart"

Supporting your local business wow, is the owner of the garage going to invite you to his retirement party any time soon? I would at least want a pint and a dinky pie 🤣🤣🤣🤣
