We go to forget about our crap normal working lives.

No better a way than doing something which involves living your whole life 2 seconds ahead of yourself for a week or two!

Be more dog!!!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but this seems to be an early Kodak colour photo of The Hon Sydney Trousers, (three times removed), and Lady Sybil Mouse-Minge, taken just after their eviction by bailiffs, (one seen behind), from their winter ski-lodge in Holmfirth, about 1956. (y)

Thanks for the heads up, but I think I'll stick with the Spanish sunshine and the Golf.

Minimum clothing and maximum enjoyment.

PS I can see the snow on the tops of the Sierra Nevada from the Golf course, but it's far enough away not to trouble me.

On a more serious note I just tried, for the first time, to use Google to identify this image. Spookily I think it did so. It is the late Shah of Persia and the image appears on this page: Broken Link Removed

There used to be (still is?) skiing in Iran in the mountains above Tehran but I guess the image was probably taken in Switzerland or somewhere fashionable although the soldier suggests it might be Iran after all.

Was going to say Channel No 5 .......

Never did get that either.

Be more Dog. Mostly tied to the end of a lead, going only, where whats on the other end of the lead wants to go and be ordered about from morning to night.

Or be more Cat. Going wherever you like, whenever you like and taking orders from no one.

..and the young plump youth in the wooden crate who'd been dragged up the mountain for The Hon Sydney's apres ski amusement later became the Ayatollah Khomeini. Not a lot of people know that.
