We I have finally arrived and too my amazement the weather has been very good, hardly any rain, which unusual based on my previous trips over to Ireland. But I am not upset about that. And even when it does rain it is sunny at the same time.
I did find a bit more damage on the campsite than I was led to believe during the buying process, in fact I have subsequently found out that the force of the sea broke our lounge window and went inside our house, (a bungalow!!) and the campsite at the back is still really too wet for vehicle movement. But as you can see there is now some sea defences at the front of house and there are plans to extend the pier.
But the planners here are good and quick and have verbally stated that if I put in PP for a number of changes included hard standing and roads it will be approved. So for the last few weeks in addition to un packing boxes putting up toilet roll holders, soap dispensers I have also managed to get out and about and explore the coastline around Doonbeg. It is very similar to Cornwall but not as commercialised.

I want to put in a drive over grey waste drain, as my van is fitted with a grey tank and a lever to open the same which empties at the back of the van in the middle and this type of drain is the easiest for me to use, but I would welcome any other suggestions.
Thanks in advance.
Jim
