Always look out when out with the dogs, loads of apple trees and Sloe bushes ready to go. Bring on the gin.

I was in Dorset today just outside Dorchester parked up in a lay-by and out to stretch my legs and noticed some Hazel bushes and they were crammed with Hazel nuts and walked along the field margin a bit and found loads more and crammed with nuts, but they are not yet ready for picking but give another four weeks and I will be back. So keep your eyes peeled.

I am eyeing up the pears which are hanging over the wall of the Vicarage, I helped myself to some apples last week. I may wait until Sunday for the pears when the Vicar is elsewhere

Lots of bilberries (blueberries?) ready for collection here in Sweden, already picked some and eaten with natural yoghurt and a squirt of honey. Will look out for what's available in Norway.

@Jenben seems early for apples and pears, where's the year going?

@jumartoo , it is a bit early for cooking apples, I 'helped' them off his trees by whacking them with a big stick :blusher:.

Eight Years and 28,000 Miles.
Just lately we've had some lovely looking mushrooms in our lawn, some the size of tennis balls, they end up in the compost bin.

If only I new what was safe to eat (or not), they looked like they'd make a nice meal.

I'm on a mission to find Cloud Berries here in Norway but they're much sought after and guarded!!! Not literally, I hope. Might have to make do with blueberries/bilberries.

Got up nice and early this morning to go foraging and almost immediately found a whole pack of bacon just lurking in the meat drawer of the fridge then out the corner of my eye I spotted what looked like a loaf of bread in the larder. On closer inspection my find was confirmed, it was a fresh loaf of uncut bread.
Within 5 minutes I'd whipped up a lovely tasty bacon sandwich :)

I've got a few raspberries so far today. Rain's stopped play. Cloudberries, apparently look like orangey yellow raspberries. I've not seen one yet.

Cloud berries are highly prized and very expensive to buy. Traditional picked in Norway by east Europeans as they grow in areas of high mosquito activity.
Have not done much foraging for food recently as most of my time whilst home was taken up foraging for wood for the woodburner.
