To Newhaven in the morning for first trip to France with the Adria. First night at Camping Saints Claire, Neufchatel-en-Bray, then a month following the sun.

It's a two berth 'make the bed' van.
Less than six metres in length.

It would be nice to have a fixed bed MH.

Confession time. Having clipped a chicane kerb driving down through France, In addition to activating the fuel cutoff (1hr. to find it!!) it seemed to have jolted the solar as discovered not charging this morning.

I was in the midst of the campsite and the woman that thou gavest me said "here is an EHU" and I harkened unto her and didst plug in and all seemest good. When I knew of you all on the Internet I was afraid and did not log on, also because the connection was rubbish. Now by the sweat of my brow, for the temperature was 31C, I have toiled and reconnected my solar. Thus I shall be driven from the site to dwell in Aires and eat croissants from henceforth.

Have given the V-Strom a bit of a wash and brush up. Topped up the tank and have started to check my packing. DFDS on Wednesday crack of dawn and Czech here we come.

Tomorrow i am taking my scooter rack to the MH and fixing it for a trial. Myself 86.6Kgs and my brother the refugee at 88Kg will then jump up and down on said rack. if it holds i can be re assured a 120Kg scooter is going to be safe on the rack.

Then next week i can buy the scoot. At the mo it's looking like a Honda PCX or a Honda SH125i

On an Aire in France and Wedd Recpt nearby in Salle, very noisy night, Disco at 11.30pm Fireworks at midnight just 50 mtrs from van, (luckily Pippa just very excited not frightened)
