This will be our first outing since the winter cover went on in July. We're not travelling far, just about 1 and a half hours over Marble Mountain to Golden Bay, where we'll park up where the mood takes us and unwind after a rather depressing couple of weeks where we had to deal with one problem after another (not motorhome-related, I hasten to add).
We would have liked to have visited Kiwi Brit but the road over the other mountain range is closed for seven weeks while they repair flood damage.

Sorry late reply ,It's because the bottle is a refillable Gasit bottle and and has a filler and exit to the regulator and i am having a Second Gasit bottle put in tandem with it so filler must be removed to pair up.I am also having a remote filler in the side of the van to keep the garages happy.I have used the one 6kg refillable that sits inside the gas bin and it has saved a lot of money and needed in Europe on our Three month trips.
You only need to turn the bottle of even empty there will be gas in the filler pipe the bottle has a non return valve in it

Oh so you are home again well back in NZ. Yes we thought we may have come over your way for a few days. We will catch up sometime! We had a wonderful time in Chicago, where we had four weeks, and in London we had five weeks. We missed the NEC motorhome and caravan show by only about 2 weeks. Will be in touch.

Since childhood!
Took the van to the outskirts of Salisbury today to collect something for Mum. Beautiful drive in gorgeous weather - the leaves were spectacular in the sunshine. Then off to do an aviation night photo shoot.
Home for the Festival of Remembrance.
Tomorrow I’ll start the day by ringing the church bells half-muffled ahead of our Remembrance Sunday parade, service, and laying of wreaths.
