Is that only certain streets or anywhere inside the bye-pass? We were thinking of stopping off at Oxford on our way to East Anglia later in the year
We're going to Kessingland for our first ever trip in Mildred. Had a lovely lady call us from the site and she's going to help us pop our cherry...apparently. Just going for a couple of days but have lots of other trips already planned.

The total ban on any vehicles not electric is only in certain streets, City centre, l think, the normal LEZ is for other areas of Oxford, best to check or Google, as not 100% sure if/ when the new rules apply

What am I up to?
going home from our first venture out in the new moho, been to Bridlington, Helmsley and Rowntree York for 10 nights, then calling at Jackson Leisure to see if they can fit a dish.
Sunday, nipping down to Brownhills to hopefully sort out some niggles, then Wednesday going for my operation then recuperating for a few weeks.
Loved the new van so far, taken a while to get my head round all the new electronics but getting there slowlyā¦ā¦. Very slowly

Nothing as exciting as travels just a repair job on the van. The fused link for the heater plugs is blown so I am fitting a replaceable fuse. Should a heater plug be shorting will be easier to replace the fuse once the plugs have been changed.
Its been a van repair week so far with wardrobe door being repaired and re fitted. Tomorrow it will be two new leisure batteries and a controller.

Had a few nights booked at a place on the Thames. However, NHS have me booked in for a procedure on Monday. Covid test on Friday afternoon and isolate all weekend now

Just had a lovely stay at Chastleton Rd Campsite (CL site) near Chastleton Nation Trust place halfway between Chipping Norton and Moreton in Marsh (Cotswolds). New site - at the moment basically a field with a toilet! Unfortunately started by getting the van stuck when filling up with water but the owner pulled us out and then let us stay 2 nights for free! Great location, nice field! Nice pub around the corner- The Red Lion in Little Compton.
Back to the NEC.................... SWMBO and the dog are taking me to Crufts. Ring 5 hall 5 at 9.30.

Cancelled, I had positive Covid test this morning in the middle of packing!!!We're off to Chatsworth for five nights. It's only 20miles away but it seems like another world! I think I've altered the drive away awning to fit our van so I'll find out on site

Just a little further on the A49 you have The Alvanley Arms. The Shire Horse place and small petting farm is right next door.

I know but I don't think it would be very good to feel ill in a small campervan,bearing in mind I'm 81 and diabetic. But thank you for your post.

Brother was tested positive last week. Didn't even know until he had a PCR. Only took the test as he went to the hospital on a completely non related issue and they insisted as he had just got in from Ukraine.

@cyberyachtThank you for your compliment,as it is an up to date photo. I always say it's Motohoming and fresh air which help to keep you young! And I still go weight training at the gym of course,and trying to keep up with the youngsters helps

Either not in place , or not being enforced at the minute , mate . I been taking a heavy diesel truck there for the last 2 weeks with no problems . Personally i hate delivering in the place , so a ban will do me a favour .
Actually , i was talking to the stores manager a couple of weeks back , at the Oxford bus company , and he said , a bans not even being applied for . All their buses are still diesel , though they have converted two to electric . They were both parked up in the yard at the time . He did admit , they were gonna apply for a grant next year , as they are expecting it at some point , but they are gonna have to completely renew the fleet , for this ban . There were all kinds of problems , biggest one being the charge endurance . He reckoned they would have to double the size of the fleet , just to cover their current routes .
We are off to Uttoxeter Races Friday untill Tuesday .Midlands Grand National .Any tips ,please .I know the tip keep your money in your pocket .

We are off to the Yorkshire Motorhome and Camping show n Harrogate.
Will hopefully get an update from Consort on our new van which will be due a bit later in the year

Saturday off to Manor House Stables in Malpas (sister is assistant trainer to Hugo Palmer) to have a look around at the new place...and then Saturday night we may be off to Wolverhampton racecourse as nephew has a ride in the evening.
