3 years of weekending with the odd month here and there.
We (my charity band) are holding a charity St.Patrick’s Day gig on Saturday night, it’s a sold out event of 280 tickets, so we’re hoping the “no public gatherings” rule doesn’t come down to that number. We’d lose a £300 deposit on the venue and £1000 deposit on the catering.

I fly back from a week's work in Munich tomorrow then on the rattler up to Glasgow on Saturday at 07:30 to pick up a car........... I could be leaving my job as early as next week if the voluntary redundancy application is accepted (deadline is tomorrow for volunteers with 1/3 going)

The wife has been driving a Smart Car for around 6 years so I said she could choose our next car... She chose a 6 month old Jaguar e-Pace

At Montreuil sur mer aire in France. Ready to get eurotunnel back to England tomorrow. 4 other funsters are here too. We will then be looking for a pub stop to get some tasty English food and a good pint of beer and cider. ??

Just had an email from my stadium boss saying I could have my week end . Mind you all the get together and /or parties are cancelled so very quiet stadium to come this week end. Therefore.... I have decided that I was going to have that week-end I dream of...All on my own, eating good home made meals and mainly SLEEPING , and hopefully without any children shouts around!
So I have decided not to go too far away, country side, with a river if possible and I found the perfect place for me! It's a Camping Car Park aire. I still have quite a few euros on my pass card so there: Roquecourbe will be my destination. I will take pics to post on here. If wifi is strong enough I will post them straight away, if not, then you'll have them on Monday.
I can't wait! I really can't wait , I so need peace and quiet!
I wanted to put a link but it keeps giving my account ... they do not want me to disconnect! :whistle2:
EDIT : Intend to put on the windscreen : Self confined! I might even spit on people if they try to speak to me!:dance2:
Here in La Correze sun is out so hope it is out for you too :)
Enjoy it will do you the world of good xx

But happy to be home and isolated in rural
Corrèze given the virus situation .

Found this pub site on another moho site this morning, just inside the UK, just off the M20 at Ashford

Hi Pam! Such a beautiful weather here too. Sun is shining , I am by a river and .... I'm all alone on the aire! I'm going to try and send pics ... as soon as I have eaten my beautiful cake I am not allowed to eat :p :dance2::whistle2:
I've had a nice walk to the village , been around all the shops, so glycemy got down a bit and will have a lemon juice home squeezed (so to knock down the glycemy a bit more...) and then.... be a little devil and eat my cake. After that , will see if the wifi here is strong enoughto send the pics. Mind you if I can watch TV on my mobile it must be good enough to send pics!

A few words about Roquecourbe Aire. Beautiful and peaceful place, beautiful sight, a river all along the Aire, no doubt about it all. But, the pitches are terrible. Not really levelled; only 2 "stabilised" ones (hummmm you better not fail when parking your motorhome as you quickly get into mud), and ... did I tell you NOT really levelled!!!! I first parked on the first stabilised pitch , but got a bit dizzy .... Max's bottom was far too low compared to his nose, if you see what I mean. So went around the whole place , tried different things (being alone on the aire, I really tried everything, and the best place is ..... on the grey water dump area .
So decided to leave the 2 first pitches (the stabilised ones) ahead of me and parked on the middle lane. Hopefully no one will come during the night!!!!

for goûter
Now this is interesting. I should ask this in the pedants'corner I guess, but feel too lazy for that. First time ever I see an English person using our word Goûter: How the heck would you translate it in English? You don't have it. Never found an equivalent so had to teach the Little Ones a made up one which is "sweet snack"

spitfire Yes it is. I suppose it must be nicer when it's full summer and very dry. That said I told one of the people of Camping Car Park that indeed the pitches needed some work. As it is the previous municipal camp site it has toilets and sinks for the washing up. I guess there must be showers but as it's all locked up for the winter I could not check.

Excuse me Scottish But French when the admin gets round to it very slow though lol We would say snack but specifically afternoon snack but not a UK thing really . UK does afternoon tea lol but my understanding goûter is usually for children when getting home from school . Please correct me if my understanding is not correct :)

spitfire That's what it used to be at the very beginning, but adults use it as well. "Let's stop at the cafe with a cake or two for a nice goûter" for example

Weekend at the CMC Castleton site, which is very impressive to be fair, given my recent criticism. It even has a really good drying room.
