We're in the rain also in Norway but going out today come what may!

I bought a very expensive, well known branded, guaranteed waterproof, rain jacket last year for our trips away. Didn't get much chance to use it in Spain but after three hours of rain in Poland I was soaked

We've spent about £25 on some waterproofing liquid (Swedish prices) and have used it. Today will tell whether it's worked or not. If not a complaint will be winging it's way to the company when we're back home!

Trying to recover, in a day and a half, after a week of grandchildren and then 5 days of family guests, befor taking the next lot of grandchildren away. Got a 70th party tomorrow, so will have a ot of last minute things to do on Monday en route to pick them up. Am very tempted by the bottle of gin sitting near my laptop too, oh and have a streaming nose courtesy of BiL's bugs.

Parked up in the shadow of Belvoir Castle, chilling, having a beer people watching lugging goodness only what to the event field... in preparation for an amazing firework display.
Me - I'll eat & drink in comfort and wander over in a bit.
Whatever happened to "travelling light" ???

I`ve been for the dreaded MOT today and got an advisory on a rumbly front offside wheel bearing
Never mind, I know how much Dave Newall loves doing them so I`ve dropped him an email and await his reply as to when he`d like to do it :D
On the up side, the tester said it`s a belting van in great condition with no rust underneath !
After that I removed my defunked Dometic air con from the roof and ordered a new skylight to replace it. I`ve got the hole sheeted over and gaffer taped up so I hope that keeps the rain out until the skylight arrives.

Congratulations on your MOT, it's a nice feeling knowing it's sound underneath. Just fitted a new skylight in mine, the worse part was getting the old one unstuck o_O

Having lunch on a aire on the way to the south of France next to a Spanish lorry which is parked in the area reserved for caravans and MH. And of course he has his refrigeration unit blasting away and spoiling the piece and tranquility of the area.

It was brilliant - saw some inflatables :D2.
Think overnight in campsite is best... car carnage with people trying to get out... Some were leaving even before 4th display, where's the sense in that? Come to a fireworks show & leave before the biggest display .

We are giving her a good clean. Took one of bench seats out and found magazines dated June 2005 and sept 2010, we have only had it 4 years so they are not ours.
All nearly clean got fed up and needed a cup of tea so went in but I will finish it tomorrow

Stripped all the beds and turned the mattresses over , took down all the curtains to be washed, Gave the fridge a thorough cleaning. Poured 10 liters of Cola into the grey tank. Hoovered it out including all the storage areas, Cleaned out the water pump filter and resisted the pump to stop it making a racket when in operation. It was vibrating against the wooden surround which was acting like a drum. Today I will concentrate on the outside. All in all the weekend is totally ruined. Plus I need to sort out the trafficators on my Land Rover which decided to stop working.

On a Municipal Site in La Clayette, South Burgundy. We travelled down yesterday, (only 90 minutes or so), to visit a large Brocante, (upmarket car boot sale, with professional traders).

View from the site along the lake to the Chateau is lovely although the iPad photo doesn't do it justice.

Tonight we will stop off at one of our favourite wild camp areas. A picnic area by a canal lock, "somewhere in France".
