What a whopper!

I've just read what passes for a review of a fith wheeler. This behemoth is 48 ft long, but I guess it's weight, all up, still allows it to be driven on a car licence without any further training. Is this wise??

48 foot tow length.Seems a lot of empty space between the tow vehicle and the 5th wheel.

Really love these things and I KNOW my wife wants to buy one.

ah, I see it now The fifth wheeler is only 34ft long. The total length is due to the location of the fifth wheel location on the towing vehicle.

But, is it right that on a normal car licence one should be able to use on the roads a vehicle that is 48ft long?
