Arrived at Inerlaken this morning bit of cloud over the hills and still 25-27 degrees, photos don't really do it justice. Cycled into town and what a lovely town if a bit pricey for certain things.

We were pitched on the strip opposite the shower block up alongside the reception/bar, parked under a tree the first day so no satellite signal but we moved along one the next day. Reception said that was the only section where they allowed the freeloaders ASCI card.

We're just past where you pitched, just where the car is in your second pic and the same as you a big tree right in our line for sat didn't realise until I had the awning up and attached. It won't really matter as hardly watch TV when abroad.
Sky's are getting clearer as the night goes on this pic taken 10 mins ago doesn't really do it justice

We caravaned in Interlakenhoheweg way back in 1980 stayed at the Lazy Rancho. It's still going strong. Beautiful place, but very expensive. We dined on spit roast chicken, fresh bread and strawberries for two weeks. It's all we could afford!

I posted on an earlier Interlaken thread that we stayed at Jungfrau Camp for a month in the mid 90's. They were just constructing the tennis court when we were there. Mein Host spent most of his time playing cards with his cronies in the reception/cafe block. Two years back we pulled in at the Alpenblick for obvious reasons (ASCI) only to be turned away as they were preparing for a possible evacuation following the floods that year. Back to Jungfrau Camp where the same, now older boy, Charlie Werthmuller was still playing cards with his mates. We parked up on the gravel for 3 nights before returning to the Alpenblick. Despite displaying an ASCI sign Charlie didn't recognise the system saying it was too expensive to belong, boy did those 3 nights cost us. :(

The ACSI sign only tells you that they have been inspected by ACSI and are in their list. It isn't the same as accepting CampingCard.
