I don’t understand it, I just took a phone call on my iPad !
Phone and iPad in same room, but when call came in, iPad rang, I picked it up and took the call from there.
Was iPhone or iPad acting as a hotspot?
iPad has a simm card.
What else could I do with this capability?
Hope this makes sense.

I use that feature all the time. The phone is my office but I'm 20m away sat on the loo reading my iPad, the phone rings, a quick check to see its not a facetime call and answer it on the iPad (y)

Think all iPad and iPhones do it if they’re synced to same account. Mine both lit up earlier for a friend FaceTiming me. Try shouting Hey Siri and see which one re-enacts quicker. I like to confuse them by using different accents.

Just spotted in “Settings”
“Allow calls on other devices”
So I could enable this on my wife’s iPad ( no Simm) and she could do same.
