Whale water system- not taking in water

Hi all,
I’m wondering if anyone can help. I have just serviced the whale water intake connection.
The van isn’t now taking on water and the round connection in picture 1 one is red hot.

Is anyone able to offer advice / suggestions?

Gissa clue - when you say you have 'serviced' the intake connection what did you do?
Was it working before you serviced it?

Our Pilote has a Whale pump the first motorhome in 15 years with a submersible pump and pressure switch, not the best and have though of changing it.

Sometimes the photo is too big and will not upload.

I can only guess it's the non return valve getting hot, when you say serviced have you disconnected the pump, and maybe wired it the wrong way and it's blowing through the non return valve, just a thought. Bob.
