If sea fishing is your thing then you could stop at Weymouth Sailing Academy it is very basic its just a car park but there are elsan facilities fresh water and ehu and clean toilets and showers. Its a short walk to fish the old Navy Harbour where you can catch Bream Bass and many other species. Its also a nice area to walk around by Portland Marina and there is a nice pub on the marina site for anyone to use.

There is also a nice pub called the Cove over looking Chesil beach that does lovely food and a view you just wont beat.

You can also walk over the road and over Chesil beach if your feeling fit enough where you can then fish for just about every species there is

There is a cycle track called the Rodwell Trail which runs all the way from the road that goes over to Portland all the way along the inner harbour and brings you out in the centre of Weymouth near the Marina

You can book into the Sailing Academy here https://wpnsa.ourclubadmin.com/parking.php
