This morning we put a deposit down on a Chausson Welcome WS and will pick it up on 5th May. That gives the dealer chance to do service, MOT and fit some odds and end and is after our holiday away with our grandson.

We'd narrowed the choice down to two vans and the Welcome won out over the Best of 04 because OT liked the colour scheme better and I thought the galley was better laid out.

We go back on Monday to take it to the weighbridge and collect all the manuals.

Now wait for all the questions.........

Both a bit too far to start with! First trip will be down to Thirsk to get Alugas fitted. The dealer wanted over £400 to fit a Gaslow system. Then we will camp out on the drive for a weekend.

I know i could have brightened it up with cushions and throws but that all cuts into the payload and is more to carry in and out for every use. The one we are getting has a nice calm blue interior with warm wood tones - the other was "coffee and cream" upholstery and cabinets which takes me too far back into the 70s!!! It also had pale carpets which on a muddy camp site or beach may not have been pale for very long.

Thanks for all the good wishes - we are looking forward to meeting up in real life with you.
