Heading out to west Wales next week and most of the campsites look like they are booked out. Whats it like for wild camping? Any hassles?

People are still wild parking on nearby Burry Port harbour.

I was advised by the Harbour Master he expects the council to start moving them on soon.
Cheers

I was there on the 25th July with about 5 other motorhomes.a Aso stayed in Brecon a one other place not far from Brecon.Milford Haven car park on the docks bars chip shop no dump or water Tesco shops near bye
When the development was proposed a few years ago, there was "talk" about a Motor home parking area, also further Aires around the county. But it really could be the beginning of the end as the council have fenced off part of the waste ground in the article

I live and wild camp in Pembrokeshire. It is difficult at this time of the year and a number of locals are anti motorhomers. They hold the usual view that you should use a campsite.
Well I'm fairly new to motorhoming and some of the above stories are horrendous. Cant understand why people cant respect their surroundings. I have tried now to book a couple of sites with no luck but am still prepared to take my chances. Will let you know how I get on.

It's about respecting the law in Wales as well . . .
But that is not really aimed at the odd motohome stopping on private land for a night. There are offences under the Criminal Justice and Public Order Act 1994 Sections 61 and 62 of trespassing on land and trespassing with vehicles.
Irrespective of any additional Covid regs' that may or may not be in place.
Its only against the law if the landowner objects to it. If they are not bothered there is no problem, so not everyone is breaking the law.Unfortunately it's not an '' odd '' abuser, there are many instances not reported, these freeloaders show their total disrespect for the law / rules just by being where they are.
It's deliberately vague i.m.v. - it can apply to these nuisances & if i was the landowner I'd certainly enforce it.
