Hi all, We managed to get a database restored at 0430 this morning, we are still testing functionality. The site has rolled back to very early yesterday morning, so any posts made between 4am and 1 pm yesterday will have been lost. Sorry.

These hackers can bypass NASA security if they want to. The best thing we can do is keep all the versions of our software up to date and back up often. The restore process is a pain when you are restoring from a naff broadband connection in Wales, but we are working on a solution to that right now.

As for subscriptions, let's not go there, I like fun just the way it is, free

hi Jim, I posted the winning lottery numbers on the site prior to the crash in order to share my good fortune, However this am they seem to of disapeared?

I didn't take a copy of them as I thought posting them here would be safe.

Hi Jim,
Sorry to hear about the problems.
At work I've set up a Chron job than copies the complete content of the site into another folder on the same server every night. Our recovery technique is to rename the damaged system, rename the backup system and we're back up and running. Obviously we've still got our disaster recovery backups stored elsewhere.
Maybe worth investigating?
