We came to Wales late May, to have some minor work done on our RV.

As we haven't been to Wales for 40 years, we thought it would be a good time to wander around. We are really impressed!

The spectacular countryside and scenery, the warm welcomes, and the food, has blown us away. Why haven't we been here more often?

We are still here and not planning to go home anytime yet.

What a wonderful part of the world!

Ssshhhhhh please don’t tell everyone. I’m hoping to move back there next year, don’t want it overcrowded. :)
Which part are you in ?
Near Aber wrist watch at the moment. On a site, GLAN-Y-MOR, top field overlooking the sea, electric and water on pitch, bar selling food on site, indoor swimming pool which is lovely, and booked on-line it costs £17.10p p.n.

If it's any help in many Powis car parks you can stay overnight. Check their parking website for if I remember correctly something like mixed mode parking.
Welsh pool and Brecon spring to mind, there are many others.

Didn't put a like because of the price, currently paying nothing in an Aire in France but because of the spelling of Aberystwyth!

Wales is GREAT! (and I'm English!) :D :D :D

It's beautiful, green and clean ........... gives a lot of Europe a run for the money .......... even lots of wild camping possibilities. And as for Anglesey ................. Oh fantastic (y)

We are on our way down to south Wales. Never been before as we have given up the UK years ago because of all the hassle with site bookings.Looking forward to the hospitality.

Hi Craig, nice to read that you're getting as good a welcome in Wales ??????? as we get when we visit the Isle of Man ??.
We're still in Spain. Hopefully see you next year in the commie ???.
Frank.

From memory it’s 1 night in 7 in any Powys car park. The car park in Hay on Wye is just behind the high street, huge and easy access for mohos. Brecon car park is near the canal. Only one I didn’t like was Hereford, a sign said it would be locked at night and I didn’t fancy being locked in, on my own, if there was any trouble when the pubs emptied. Only place I felt uneasy so I drove on.

I think you'll find Hereford is in England.
Oops, so it is ! :D2It said I could park there overnight, just buy an overnight ticket at machine ( same as Hay and Brecon I’d already been to) Maybe I was being over cautious but if it doesn’t feel right........

going to wales is like time travelling back 30 years

I have spent the last few weeks in Wales, having only ever ever been there for the Halloween Rally at Pembrey. Llanberis, porthmadog, Brecon, Tredegar Country Park, Pembrey Country Park, Fishgaurd and my favourite Tenby. The only criticism would be that the Welsh do not build straight roads.. I might as well been following a tractor at times. I have to say it is a beautiful country and will be going back over the next few years

We’re just about to spend the last night of 5 at a site in Llanddulas overlooking Colwyn Bay and watching the sunset of evening (when it’s not raining). It’s great to see the beauty of the Welsh countryside. It’s been more than 50 years since I spent any length of time on this side of the border and I’m sure it won’t be too long before we return.
Enjoy the rest of your trip.

I’m presently walking the Pembrokeshire Coast Path - and yes, Wales can be pretty,

We moved to a South Wales in 2016 the scenery is fantastic which ever way we drive it’s either coast or countryside. We hate leaving here to go family visiting in Lancashire or Staffordshire.

That's a bit like a friend of ours, he lives in 'mostly weird' (Maeswerdd) 'feelin foul' (felinfoel)…..if you knew him, you would know this is the perfect address for him.:giggle:
