Who’s idea was it to take the scenic route to Germany through Austria from Italys South Tyrol

7 miles of this and 2400m up the road was barely wide enough for 2 cars, throw in some German sight seeing coaches and local buses

Was glad to get down the mountain that’s for sure

This is a good view as it got worse after this, as in 6ft visibility and no crash barrier

Ah we was going to do that run in the next few days DOWN to Croatia but the weather ain’t great at lauterbrunnen, we’re doing it on the way back in two weeks!

Must say the van pulled like a train up the hills, although was down to 16.5 mpg

That was our average for the last 600+ miles but improved now it’s a bit flatter, if it had a bit more grunt I might slow down as I seem to having a run at the hills and cruising about 65, saw 74 once but thought oops too fast

Mine just pulls now and it’s a lot better when cruising at 60ish as not up and down the box, pity you have gone home as I am back in Germany and you could have given it a go and see what you think.

Have been up to 73 a few times and it runs well at that

Probably averaging about 19+ if it wasn’t for them hills in Austria and Slovenia, if I kept at about 50-55 I would think 21mpg+ is possible.

I have been keeping at about 60ish most of the way back as had some 270 mile days, of to Dinkelsbühl tomorrow afternoon so only a couple of hours run.

We will be in Belgium on Tuesday to have the dogs worming done, Barbs wanted to go back to Brugge but being a bank holiday I think it will be rammed.
We were at the coach park site last November and it was busy, although plenty of Twats parking there small vans on the pitches that say for large vans

I know there’s a lot of anomaly’s like 30 bhp more, 2.5tons more and a big flat front, but isn’t it the same 3.0L engine as mine but north to south? I’m getting 29.9 mpg from Calais to rothenburg at 60-65mpg!
I stand by to be lambasted that they’re technically not quite the same

Yes same lump I think ours was the 180bhp but have never seen a Palace without the 210 upgrade so don’t know why this is not standard!!
We have around 250bhp now with the remapping and a lot better torque so it pulls like a train with around 7t plus to pull.
