For a number of years we have promised ourselves some early sun by heading down to Southern Spain in spring. This year we decided to do it.
All prepared to leave home last Wednesday, Channel Tunnel on Thursday. Then came the first of the snow.
Delayed the Tunnel crossing until Saturday. Then came the major snow with our village being cut off.
But......... tomorrow we leave home to Canterbury P&R and cross via the Tunnel on Tuesday. Then onwards and downwards through France into Spain, initially to visit friends who live in Benelmadena, then explore the southern coastline.
A few weeks in the sun (hopefully), then wend our way up via the Mediterranean coast arriving in Burgundy at the end of April.
Yippee!
Now, let’s hope nothing else goes wrong.
