Should be ok on those settings but you could check with varta. Some wet cells are better with the absorption voltage at 14.2 & the float at 13.6v.
Also I would turn off the equalisation phase.

@Lenny HB thanks, I'll check with alpha batteries see if they know, and re the equalisation I think it's disabled by default.

OK so I asked alpha batteries for the solar settings for my Varta LFD 90s and I was given the following info.
Absorption voltage 14.1v
Max absorption time 2hrs
Float voltage 13.5v
Equalisation voltage 14.4v

So I forgot to ask them what voltage would equal 60% still left as that's the min I like to take my batteries to, so as the voltages are different for these batteries, what minimum voltage should I look for assuming that I want to use max 40% DOD.

I put a table on here a while back about the various charge levels for different types of batteries ... go have a hunt! :D

You can't really use the voltage estimation method while the battery is in use as it needs to stand unused for an hour or two before the reading means anything. I'd get a decent battery monitor ?

Thanks Richard I know that, I already have the BEST:reel: battery monitor the bmv 712, I know with my old batteries it was 12.2 ( rested) as the min I let them get to.
