Weird weather in Murcia??

Really weird weather here on the coast at Mazarron, Murcia.
Sun is absolutely blazing from a clear, blue sky, it is blowing an absolute hoolie, and is approaching 30°.
Done all the washing, twice!!

Blowing from the South?. Probably what we knew as the sirocco ? Very Hot and can reach hurricane force. Conversely the Mistral originates in roughly the Pyrenees and is a cold wind?.

I think it was coming from the West.
Still very warm now at 1930 but the wind is easing.
Strangest part was that we were almost excluded from the MH as it was that hot as we couldn't open ANY doors or windows for fear of damage from the strong winds. If we sat out, we couldn't have any drinks on tables etc as they were just blown off.
And just to cap it off there was a burst water pipe in the bar so we were excluded from that!!

We are all walking about this evening with faces like belisha beacons with the wind burn

Yes it was., temperature always increases when wind from the west. Always happens in the summer around 2pm wind picks up from the west & it is like a inferno.

Tore off my 8 x 4,5m sombra over the front of the house. Lovely having to go up on the roof to remove it and make safe. Only supposed to be half the speed tomorrow.
