Took our new Summit Shine to the weigh bridge today. Total weight: 3260kg Front axle: 1740kg So about 240kg left.
So, what does that include:
Summit Shine 640, lighter chasis, no spare wheel. Automatic gearbox, windout awning, solar panel, lithium leisure battery.
We had 1 x 11kg and 1 x 6 kg full gaslow cylinders. Full tank of fuel. Also no freshwater.
We had already put in crockery, cutlery and pans, inc. Remoska
In the garage we had all our garage stuff: outdoor table & two chairs, ramps, wheel mats, ehu cable, hoses - fresh & waste, box of bits (folding bucket & wateringcan, tools etc) AND our TWO EFoldi mobility scooters at about 17kg each- so really all the heavy stuff.
So no food, no clothes or shoes or coats, no towels or bathroom stuff, no bedding. No books or electronics, lap tops etc.
Obviously I will weigh everything else we put in. I have some provisional weights from from previous "weigh ins" which comes to about 60kg minus clothes. So I am reasonably happy that we will be able to travel with fresh water.
I know this doesnt really give a payload as such but it does give an idea of available weight.
Havnt looked at the max axle weights yet, but it looks as though they should be OK. The back axle will go up because of where the fresh tank is, but most of the rest to go in will be between the axles.
