Took our new Summit Shine to the weigh bridge today. Total weight: 3260kg Front axle: 1740kg So about 240kg left.
So, what does that include:
Summit Shine 640, lighter chasis, no spare wheel. Automatic gearbox, windout awning, solar panel, lithium leisure battery.
We had 1 x 11kg and 1 x 6 kg full gaslow cylinders. Full tank of fuel. Also no freshwater.
We had already put in crockery, cutlery and pans, inc. Remoska
In the garage we had all our garage stuff: outdoor table & two chairs, ramps, wheel mats, ehu cable, hoses - fresh & waste, box of bits (folding bucket & wateringcan, tools etc) AND our TWO EFoldi mobility scooters at about 17kg each- so really all the heavy stuff.
So no food, no clothes or shoes or coats, no towels or bathroom stuff, no bedding. No books or electronics, lap tops etc.
Obviously I will weigh everything else we put in. I have some provisional weights from from previous "weigh ins" which comes to about 60kg minus clothes. So I am reasonably happy that we will be able to travel with fresh water.
I know this doesnt really give a payload as such but it does give an idea of available weight.
Havnt looked at the max axle weights yet, but it looks as though they should be OK. The back axle will go up because of where the fresh tank is, but most of the rest to go in will be between the axles.

Forgot to add that the measured weight includes two adults - both over the “notional” 75kg!

We did the same exercise with our 2018 Campscout on a Maxi chassis, reasonably well loaded with fuel and water (but not full). We touched 3500kg so decided to up-plate to allow capacity for a grandson to come with us on occasions with all that comes with him, and the third bed kit.
By the way there is a very helpful Facebook group for Globecars & Possl owners, if you haven’t already discovered it.

Just had the Al-Ko HY4 levelling system fitted and decided to try out the weighing function - full tank of fuel (me hedging against possible further price rises & / or rationing), approx 100 litres of water on board, grey & black both empty, full LPG but nothing in the rear garage, no food, no occupants (not even the driver) and no personal effects, clothing etc. it’s not so much the overall remaining payload but the front axle that concerns me - driver and passenger will add 140kg or thereabouts and exceed the limit by over 100kg. I appreciate that by loading up the rear this may well reduce the front axle load but on a tandem axle this probably won’t be that much. Is this something to be concerned by?

I think you need to get yourself and your passenger in the front seats ASAP and see what it reads.

Then check it on a weighbridge if it looks to be over?

Loaded up the garage with Vespa, tables, chairs & usual paraphernalia & reweighed whilst sat in the drivers seat, so all seems okay (as long as other half keeps weight below 77kg 😂)
