I'm a newbie
I'm clamping down on the crap we carry and never use. That's what I boldly told the missus but so far I have this blank sheet of paper in front of me with nothing on it. There must be something worth ditching, ---- any ideas?

What you’ve not used in 12 months. Pots and pans, food and eat out. 80% of clothes ‘cos you never wear them ?

Just go through stuff methodically and think 'when did I last use this'

If not in the last two or three trips, dump it.

Probably If you “told “ the missus then she will take you out of the equation ;-)

My thoughts precisely, but that's wishful thinking

I’ve recently emptied the Motorhome and it filled up a small shed...? and that was just the stuff that’s always in it.... then there was the holiday stuff on top of that....?

We have reently had a clear out as John's new bike is eavier than his last. I have been quite ruthless, but so far have not persuaded him that non ceramic plates would be lighter although we do have arcopal which are fairly light, have cut down on glasses and cutlery, we ften take our own when dining with friends, now they can bring theirs to us. have put the stuff we take for when the grandchildren are with us in a box, they will get used but we dont take the bike when we are away with them. have been quite surprised at the weight of some of the 'just in case' stuff some has travelled with us for so long it is out of date
Do tend to take too many clothes but have been caught out a few times, eather roasting or shivering.I always have some thermal undies and a tankini in the van have drastically cut down on our shoe collection, but as I rarely go away without acquiring another pair that is probably as well.
Have been less than succesful getting John to cut down on tie wraps, bungees massive bag of just in cases and the bike.

I'm a hoarder, so I find it very difficult to off load stuff that does not get used regularly as I work on the what if basis.
What I do do is only fit the main bulk of the tow bar when we need it which up until today has been nil. It weighs 30 odd Kg and quarter of and hour and 4 bolts to refit it if I do need it.
We normally travel around stopping a day or maybe two at each location, so rarely carry the Jormax windbreak or pop up shelter which we only take to rallies as we are there for longer.
