Hi

I'm new to motorhoming and am looking to find a weighbridge locally to see how much my 2002 Roller Team Auto Roller 6 berth weighs with all family and kit onboard. Its a Fiat Ducato 2.8jtd.

I also want to check front and back axles to calculate correct tyre pressures. My local tyre guy pumped them up to 65psi front and 74psi rear which is giving a hard ride but stable!!! Tyre states 80max.

I've looked at the Gov website which referred me my local authority which shows nothing!!! Checked Liverpool/Merseyside/Sefton and Preston local authorities and looked on yellow pages and other sites and cant seem to find one.

Anyone know of sites in my area?

Someone local to you will likely reply, but you could end up using a gravel extraction site's scales.
Probably for free unless you ask them for a printout.

i use a farmers coop here, the place they bring all the spuds to. Free without print out, or a bottle of wine if i need one.

Try southport skips on crowland street - phone first though.
Let me know what they say and how you get on.

Is there a scrap yard or recycling centre anywhere locally?

Good to see you are taking a responsible attitude. To be a party pooper I just hope the weight overall doesn’t make you overweight.
This is what new and seasoned Motorhomers often fall foul of.

They used to have one as I weighed a "Green Goddess" both empty and full to see who could drive it when worked in the Parks and Gardens.
If you do find one let me know.

I use Axtec in Runcorn, not a million miles from you. They manufacture the weighbridge equipment and have their own electronic one in the yard. You get all the details including axle weights on a printout for about six quid. If you go there don't forget to pay your toll for crossing the new bridge on line by midnight the next day. Two quid each way.

If you google weigh bridge for your area you’ll get hits on a map of where they are.

I use the local scrap dealer but always bung them a fiver for the coffee fund.
Rude not to imho 😊

The OP started there :o
I've looked at the Gov website which referred me my local authority which shows nothing!
And like me he found our local councils are not represented there :(

Told you all, there's nothing on the Gov/Local Authority website for the NorthWest area!!!😜

Thanks Stuart that's most helpful....I'll give em a call only about 45 min away from me down the M57. Yes I know you have to pay to cross the Mersey Gateway which is terrible when bridges down south are free!!! £6 is a bargain 🤑

....thanks Larby I'm fearing the worst🤞😦

I've added new tv, solar panel kit (from Sunstore...most helpful) and internal mifi/omni directional antennae.

Plus with all the kids bikes, stuff etc...I want to know what it all weighs!!!???

If I can't get away to Malta in August I'm cobsidering travelling down to Brittany and want to know my loads.

Just type into Google ''weighbridges near me'' and it'll give you a list.

In exactly the same boat - went to the gov.uk site, it bounced me to Sefton which has no results! Let me know if you find one :-)
