The crash was at the traffic lights about 400yds east of weighbridge, A27 closed aim to reopen 6:00 am Monday traffic on A259 at 10:50pm worse than in rush hour.

It was the other side of the airfield over ½ mile north of us, looked a lot closer the fire ball was huge.
Silence this morning no aircraft activity at all now 9:45 am, normally when air show on planes would be arriving from about 8:30 and planes up practicing.
Even if they wanted to go ahead may not be possible with the A 27 closed A 259 can not cope with that volume of traffic.

Yes we were okay, but rather shaken as were most of the huge crowd at Shoreham. We were in the centre of the airfield so well away from the devastation.
As we were working we really had to keep it all together for the sake of the other volunteers as well as the public. There were many people, including burly men, in tears though.
We were pretty much holding it together until our lovely Vulcan did her fly past in tribute. That was just too much for many and there were many more tears as well as spontaneous applause.
A weekend never to be forgotten.

Crazy...hour ago it was going to reopen Sat'morning it will probably change again:)
