Weigh bridges in Cumbria (2 Viewers)

Hi All
Starting to plan our long European trips for our motorhome which we bought in the summer and it would be useful if we could get an accurate figure for the available van payload, the manufacturer quotes the payload as being 425kg but it would be good to know if that is accurate.
Does anybody know of public weigh bridges in southern Cumbria between say Kendal and Barrow.

I've used the one at Shap Granite Works (or whatever it's called now). It isn't a public weighbridge but they don't mind doing it. It's also flat entry & exit and clean. And right on the side of the A6. If you find a genuine "Public Weighbridge" please let me know where it is .

I used a local animal feed mill in Carlisle, is there anything like that near you ?

We used scrap metal yard in ulverston

A bit out of your way but we bit the bullet earlier this year and found three that could do us in the same 'state'.....
The Innovia factory in Wigton
Feed mill in Kirkbride &
Mountelm Metals, Carlisle

Believe it or not they all come up with the same weight.
