Just booked a long weekend at Homestead Lake site in Weeley,Essex. The site is a little expensive, but they do cater for large motorhomes. They have a large rally field (maybe organise something next year) toilet/shower block,E.H.U. Fishing is available on site,in season, and there is a cafe on site too. A pub/restaurant is supposed to be within walking distance from the site.:drink: Will report back after our stay.:thumb:

The last time we stayed there all you say was true, I recall all the pitches are full service with water & drains for each pitch. A good site close to a nice pub.

There is also a tackle shop on site for all you angler members. :thumb:

We know the site well. it's a very comfortable site, facilities as described, plus a very large and well-stocked accessories shop on site.

Having returned from this site a day early, due to our leisure battery dying on us,i can recommend Homestead lake as a first class site. Most of the pitches are capable of taking the largest of motorhomes, and most are fully serviced, grey and black drains.Apart from the fishing lake there is a large rally field. The site itself is very quiet and the toilet/shower blocks are very clean. The pub,a shortish walk from the site serves food at a resonable price. There is not much to do in the immediate area so transport of some sort is a must if you want to venture out.Evidently the local bus service is a bit hit and miss, and a fair walk from the site.In all a good site for relaxing. We would probably use it again,if they could drag the pub a bit closer to the site.:Rofl1::BigGrin:
