Question for the legal beagles ( )

Once a report has been made to eBay that a listing maybe fraudulent, could eBay be held responsible for money losses to the scammers ?
If it went to court would/could it be held that eBay knowingly took part in a scam ( in the eyes of the law, which is somewhat different to what is real you understand !! )

I think a copied ad from back around September as ad says 'just had new brakes and discs for MOT'. The MOT is only until August. And the price is way too low.

Really can't believe how quiet the scammers have become. Only found 4 caravans to report today and no motorhomes when just looked.
