Well we got to Italia , market at ventimiglia as usual , then traveled to st Maxime on an Aire just out of town filling and emptieing included for eight euros , funny thing there ,in one of the park4night comments it says can't get to the water for people doing their washing in a bucket at the tap, and it's right they were doing it while we were there.

Anyway we have now done a couple of days around the corbieres region, fantastic scenery, and a couple wine tastings, but now we are on canet plauge, parked right by the sea as we did last year, can't believe it isn't always packed out, but we are the only ones here , bars and shops over the road and free, with a view through the back door what more could you want.
Parked up here for a couple of days now.

Just a small edit ,this park is not in park4night, can't make it out, it isn't open in the season though it has barriers and is just a free car park but at the beginning of September they open the barriers and anyone can use it, no services obviously.
It's right on the sea front , couple hundred yards from centre of town.

St Maxime is one of our favourite places in France. We usually stay there for a couple of nights before moving on to see our friends at Les Issambres.

chaser
Do you know when the put the height barriers back in place?
We will be heading back to that area at Easter!

It's a great place this is, can't think why it is not more popular, but it is a bit out of the way if you are just going straight down to Spain.

We are usually looking for somewhere to stop on the way to the Bay of Roses,so it sounds ideal!

We will be in Avignon tomorrow so not too far from you....

Tonight we have French neighbors, not done much at all apart from a ride into the next place.

The problem is, you have parked in the middle. If you had parked in a corner, he would be a close neighbour!

See that your bedding is the same livery as your van, is that part of the camouflage? (y)
