I want to rustproof the underneath of my RV which amazingly (to me at least) has a whole chassis and outriggrs made of untreated mild steel. Has anybody used Waxoyl before. Is it a DIY job?

It is a DIY job if you like getting REALLY messy .

I'd recommend overalls zipped up to the neck, eye protection and a rather large pit would be useful :roflmto:

This one would have more watchers than helpers though:RollEyes:

Well John, you will be doing it mate...... :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO: Dirty, filthy job, but well worth while Jim. You should also drill and fill the box sections mate for total protection though......
Not one for me I'm afraid :roflmto:

Jim are YOU really going to keep your current RV that long?

Its the same dilemma I have with converting to LPG:RollEyes: Cost me £200 in fuel to attend Bosworth and would have been about £80 on gas:Doh:

Hi Jim,

Well worth the time and effort.

As the other postings but wear a mask and eyeshields if you use the spray applicator and plug any drill holes with rubber blanking grommets.

Oh, and can we request before and after photos of yourself :Eeek::ROFLMAO:

JimJam,

Is Waxoyl the same stuff used by "Before 'n' After"? Their advert advises not to sleep in van for 3 WEEKS after treatment.
