That's very cheap.
To do our coach built cost about £70 just for all the waxoyl.
We have our own compressor and application gun and probes.

Looks good. I think a good thing to do for what in the grand scheme of things is very little money. Just met someone with another IH 630rl like ours, who had decided to trade in their old one as rust was showing its ugly head. Mind you it was 10years old at the time and hopefully protection techniques on the base have improved.
I persuaded hubby to spend a few days in his back on the drive doing the best he could!
I didn’t realise could be done like you had it done. I won’t show him this post!

That’s a brilliant price for your waxoil treatment as I paid £500 for my last van a 6.3 Auto Sleeper that was in 2014.
My new van was done by our dealer built in price with other extras.

I'd certainly get mine done for that price and service. But not in Essex, way too far from me. Somerset, Devon, yes please!

Thats a job worth doing, for a great price also, especially if you intend to keep the van for a long time, and why shouldn't you if it meets all your needs.
Happy for you, enjoy your travels.

Exceptional price. Cannot remember exactly but I paid around 450-00 to have my Hobby treated. As I live about 70metres from the sea I felt it was worthwhile.
The chap who does my MOT's said it was a good job and certainly worth doing. (y)

That's incredible value. I spent all day doing our first van by hand and it was a real crappy job. It's just a shame they aren't more local to me.

Very informative post.

Cheers,

Andrew

TBH at that price it’s worth a trip down, chuck in a night or two camping either side and you’ve got yourself a mini break (y)

He did lower the spare wheel to get behind it , then when it was dry put it back , but did not take it right off , when the van is on the ground you lower the wheel onto the ground , when it's up there you would have to lift it over your head to get it back on , hope this helps , and you can now sleep at night .

So garages that charge upwards of £500 are really coining it then? i suppose cause it's a messy job?

Great price, but wrong time of year.
The temperature need to be up and Waxoyl warm by putting it in hot water so that it runs into all the crevices.
I have a commercial compressor and proper gun and do mine in July/August.

If doing the crevices and hidden bits add upto 20% white spirit to thin it down allow for better flow. But it stinks.
