Might be handy for new MH'ers or people with a rubbish memory, complete lack of knowledge about electricity and calculating skills like me :)

Remembering that this is for 240v not 12v(y) (just incase the picies name gets missed...)

3500w on 12v will be an eye watering 291.6ah:eek:

Whilst 60w would be a mere 5ah

It won't be 291.6 ah (Amp Hours), it will be 291.6A (Amps)! Amps is current, Amp Hours is battery capacity.

a quick rule of thumb for making mental power calculations.. 1kw uses 4 amps..

so simply multiply the kilowatts by 4 to get the approx. current..

for example , 3 kw fan heater uses 3x4 = 12 amps .. (it's actually 13 amps at 230v )

it's little bit low, but close enough for everyday use in the van ..

to answer the last post .. it all depends.. so check with the site ..or if you can see the circuit breaker it is marked with the trip current..

in the UK .. it is usually 16A but can be less, 10A or even 6A

same abroad, but 16A is less common.. and in Spain it could be a little as 3amps

Since I have too much time on my hands here is a better one for yr cupboard door! (my calculations for the 12V so I hope they're right) :)
