We are going to try Watten aire next week. We have an early morning train next morning. Could someone suggest the easiest route from Watten to the tunnel please. Google brings up three options.
Thanks

I just used the sat nav for the reverse route, they have a weekly market which closes many of the town roads to access the Aire. As I recall there is a very sharp dog leg from the town by the bridge, too tight for me. If you cross the river turn right the Aire will be on your left , very pleasant spot . Enjoy

I would get there as early as possible as its quite tight when nearly full.

It was extended a year or so ago. Quite a lot of space now.
To answer the OP, I seem to remember that we went through the town and headed north to join the motorway, then south to Calais. Good roads all the way.

Richard.

It used to be right next to the canal? river? so you came out and turned eft along the road that side of the waterway till you got to the T junction at the end (or may be a roundabout?) onto which you turned and followed it to the m'way from thence to Calais/Dunkirk, think it might be the same road that you take if you are going to/coming from Bergues?
