Does anyone else on here have a waterfall tap in the bathroom of their Burstner?

Managed to get my van away last week for the first time since I purchased in in March!

In my old caravan we would go through about 40-60L water per day.

This motorhome we went through around 110L of water a day, which seems hugely excessive.

The thing that comes to my mind is that the kitchen tap is a spray type tap, I have a water saver type showered, both very similar to what we had in the caravan, however the centre bathroom has a waterfall tap, which I am beginning to think could be the culprit.

Seems to deliver a lot of water and because of its position is the main tap we use for hand washing.

Anyone have any thoughts?

Our Burstner waterfall tap is really quite slow. I wonder if there is a 'volume control' somewhere?

What are you doing to do in 60 ltrs a day? Even that seems a lot.

interrupt the supply to the tap and fit a valve to reduce the flow

Just wet your hands use the soap for 20 seconds and rinse, don’t let it keep running. My neighbour in Spain over the winter was pulling his hair out because is wife just let it run and run while washing.

You haven't left the boiler drain open have you ?

Boiler drain definitely closed. 😁

At least it’s appears it is not just me!

I can't see how a washbasin tap with a higher flow rate would make that much difference. Probably need to think about what you are doing differently to how you used your last van.
As others have said even in your previous van your water usage was high. We use 35-40 Lt a day with both of us having a shower.

"Navy" showers, Wet Hands, turn off, wash with soap, turn on, rinse. When the Fresh water runs out You are on SALT water!!. Because I need all the fresh I can make for the bloody Boilers!!.
