I'm a newbie
We stopped on a Caravan & Motorhome club site for the first time but our fill tap adaptors would not fit (we have the standard size ones).
Is it a special , and where can they be purchased ?
Thanks Das.

Thanks but it seemed a different thread than the normal hose connectors (much finer).
Next time I'll speak to the site warden.

I would say it should be 3/4 BSP, always has been. If different they need to get another tap.

Geoff
Don't get caught out like the op, I have a licensed standpipe that's 1" bsp. That's how it wad supplied by the water authority.

I have seen quite a few 1 inch taps on polypipe stand pipes on CLs etc

Never come across anything other than 3/4 BSP on a campsite.

Geoff
As the op says they were on a CMC site, they are out there, rare admittedly, but for the sake of a few quid I wouldn't go anywhere with out a selection of fittings.

I carry a 1 inch fitting with a 3/4 and a 1/2 inch reducers. Them and a flexible rubber? fitting with a thumbturn jubilee clip for damaged taps or those with industrial couplings. You see those on sites that have greenhouses etc where the fitting pushes on and 1/2 turn to lock.

With a licensed stand pipe I assume you mean drawing water from a hydrant.

There are at least three different sized threads on water taps.
Then there are also those with no thread at all.
The more you travel, the more you will find.
A couple of watering cans is a good catch-all.
(pun intended)

Aqua roll do a

So you can only draw water from the water authority area that supplies the stand pipe. ?
Yes, it's not for the MH but it comes in handy when in the Anglian Water region. My work is drainage, I need to fill my Drain jetting machine.

Aqua roll do a short hose pipe which has a cone shaped adapter that you can remove and more or less fitted to the end of a standard half inch hose pipe. 😃

Part of my job is testing hydrants so also have access to that equipment, but don’t know how I would explain to some jobsworth from the water authority, with a hose shoved in the inlet to my Moho.
although I have thought about it. 🚐 🚿

It's a licensed and metered standpipe that I pay for, I can fill up anything.
