I wonder if anyone can help us out?

We finally spent our first weekend away in the new MH - Burstner Nexxo T660 - had a glorious weekend at Chatsworth CC. Heating works like a dream and we were nice and toasty on the frosty nights. We have not yet fathomed out the hot water and made do with boiling water in the kettle - but thats next weeks challenge! We had a great time and cannot wait for the next trip!! We do however have a couple of other questions......

1. The toilet flush is useless - the pump is audible but the water is just dribbling out. It is a Thetford C403 with the flush taken directly from the onboard water tank. We have had a SOG fitted which works OK. The taps on the site were frozen and we only managed to fill the tank with a few watering cans of water, but the pressure in the taps was OK. Does anyone have any ideas?

2. The Burstner apparently has a 120 litre water tank but has a drain valve open at 60 litres. At handover the guy mentioned that there is an overflow on the plug plunger but we do not remember how to close the valve to fill the tank completely. Can anyone shed any light on this??

Thanks in advance!!!

hi janine,

cant help with the tank but the toilet could be one of three things...

1 a partial blockage/air in the pipework

2 semi frozen pipework

3 (and most likely) the impellor in the pump is damaged and not pushing water. motor spinning but blades arent.
replacement is the only opion in this case.

Ooops..just realised this model doesnt have a seperate pump.

We had the same problem with ours till we ran the hot water tap to fill/prime the boiler. Try filling up your water tank and run the hot tap till it runs smoothly, no need to turn the boiler on, then do the same with the cold taps/toilet. Other than that I have no idea.

A quick update!

Thanks for your help chaps - we primed the whole water system as you advised and the toilet flush works a treat! What a relief!
