I'm a newbie
Does anyone use these in their water tanks inorder to drink water direct from the tap.

But isn't it easier just to drop a tab in the tank.Do these things work.

I use Aqua Tabs. But I do wonder if they affect the boiler.

I know chlorine is bad for the boiler but I am researching the contents of Aqua Tabs

Ta let us know how you get on.I looked at the filters but a) you have to install them and b) periodically change the filter.

I did try the tablets in our first motorhome, but the problem I found was that depending on how much water was in the tank when topping-up you had to put in part tablets. Imo it's much simpler with the filter which I change each season.

I've got an Econo filter inline with the kitchen tap change the filter in it once a year replacement fter about £7, never get a bad tasting cupped.

Probably easier to use tank water only in the kettle and keep a couple of refillable bottles in the fridge for cold drinks.

Never used anything but aqua tabs, but don't actually drink the water, we cook with it and make tea and washup and stuff, but use bottled water for drinking as this also gives you a bit more water capacity..
We have found you can't taste it in tea and coffee, and it hasn't affected the boiler as far as we know, not gone wrong yet(famous last words).

I put Aqua Clean Tabs in the main tank (one tab per 25L) and use the water for everything except drinking as I find that the tabs taint the water taste.
For drinking (tea, coffee etc) I have a 5L 'day container' which I refill from a drinking water tap.

I use Elsan Elsil Drinking Water Purification 100 ml never had a problem with drinking it, do also keep a 2l bottle of water in the fridge for cold drinks.

We drink from the water in our tank. We have a 3M microbiological filter that we use for any water used for drinking, cooking or cleaning our teeth. Yes it needs changing once a year, but that is less bother than having to keep putting water purifying tablets in the tank

Never used anything in twenty years of various types of water tanks.
Although the only water we drink is usually in coffee and been pre boiled.

I was thinking about that, too. Also thinking that we rarely use hot water in the summer, presumably iless damage if not boiled, and never drink cold water from the tank. The tank has been half full for the weeks of lockdown, so could do to be refreshed.
