Water Pump (1 Viewer)

Battery re-charging now but the water pump isn't working. It is making a small buzzing noise but no water is coming through and the wheel isn't moving. Any suggestions before we get a new pump fitted? :Sad::Sad:

I had a pump in a caravan that would always, after we ran out of water, get an airlock and stop just like you describe. I was taking it off to bin it, but after undoing the retaining screws I tried it again and it worked. I never did screw it down again properly. Whenever it stopped I would lift one end which would dislodge the air and off it would go.

If it's nice and clean try a gentle tap, and wheel, if you can access a/the moving bit try turning/proding it?

You could try turning on the pump, opening a tap and sucking on the tap to see if you can draw some water through the pump to bleed it of air...

you suck not blow Ivy, it clears the airlock

You could try turning on the pump, opening a tap and sucking on the tap to see if you can draw some water through the pump to bleed it of air...

That is exactly how I used to get my old Whale pump going ... !
