Help :worried: - - - Hymer TCL698 Tramp... Getting ready for travels following it been winterised & drained down. Water pump is just humming and water trickling out of both taps and shower. Do you think the pump has gone ? If so are they easy to change ?

Or is it filling the hot water tank, it can take a good 5-8 min to get ours ready and get all of the air out of the system.

On the case now - going to fill the tank again - switch on pump 🤞let it take few minutes to run through
Let’s hope it just an airlock - No sign of any water under the van
Would not know how to change the pump but would give it a go. My husband unable to do fiddly things due to stroke .
If does not work then will take images and hopefully someone can give me an idiots step by step guide to removal and replacement …. 😀 quite up to give it a go

When I purge the air out of our pipework I start by only opening the tap furthest from the pump and when that tap is running water through without air in it I close that tap off and then purge air from the next furthest from the pump, and so on.
I found that on our system that the pump just chugged away gurgling to itself if I just opened all the taps at the same time when trying to purge the air from the system.

Update : switched on pump started to quietly hum ( not like normal sound )
left it for few minutes .. had my head down looking and noticed a warmth- traced it to electric connector from pump - wires at connection felt warm .. so switched off pump. Assume pump struggling and knackered …
so looks like maybe new pump required …

Started opening up the shower tap first - flowed … when I opened up kitchen tap trickled - then opened up bathroom tap - trickled …. Then all stopped … that’s when I noticed the warmth from connector

Idiots guide please on how to replace water pump
took images of what it looks like inside and on top … 2FA37DAD-8CF8-42EC-93AB-AC95CAFFECB0.jpegC33E4D9A-85DA-474B-BB8B-50636543BFF1.jpeg

You undo the blue ring, lift out the pump and change for a new one.

I recently upgraded my pump for one with a better flow rate. It was such an improvement that I bought a spare one that I carry with me.

Mine is on a quick connect. Remove blue locking clip first.
Make sure to connect the two wires correctly

Try a small screwdriver to move the impeller on the pump when switched off of course ! , may be bit of limescale or debris in the impeller stalling the pump

Undone Blue ring - too tight to remove the unit as the tube on right side heading towards the shower has no give .... plenty of spare on the left tube....
so cannot lift it out. Not sure if I should remove jubilee clip and pull tube off-
Brushed the filter under the pump with a toothbrush to brush any debris off - but made no differance

see Stealaway above - he is trying to show you to disconnect the quick connect pipes so you can then rotate the blue cap right off.

release jubilee clips and take pipes off. Unscrew ring and lift out pump. Have an old towel ready as it is wet. Take note of which colour wire goes to which side and undo. Pull old wire out. Put it back together as above. Double check the wiring connector has not been cooked and replace if needed

Drink a nice cup of coffee to celebrate a successful job

Then followed Lynnian's advice gave the impeller on the pump a tickle with a small screwdriver ... Many Thanks
Reconnected all - crossed fingers, flicked on main pump switch then turned kitchen tap on ...Hooray, water running .. slight splutter ! pump making a noise - switched on bathroom tap then shower --- all good. BUT .....................
now the pump keeps running
What have I done wrong ????
