I’m a newbie😎 Picked up C’More 17 June 2022
My water pump isn’t working but before I pull out a fuse. I wanted to make sure I am doing it correctly. I think the pump is the last fuse with 7.5 on it. Do I unplug from shore power before touching anything? Do I turn off the system from above the door? The battery is in the Ein/On position. Lights are working and Nav system turns on. Is there anything else I should check before The fuse?

Thank you🤞

I may be missing something but I don't see a 7.5a fuse....or is it behind the wiring loom.

Check the fuse with a meter not just a visual check.
They can blow at the end where it can't be seen.

I don’t know what type of pump. Trying to find that info in the manual. I don’t have a meter. 😬Pulled it and it looks fine, put back and still nothing. And yes it’s behind the wires

Have a look UNDER a tap to see if any wires are attached to it.
That won't be the problem but will tell us the type of system.
Only two thin wires at each tap or none at all.

Looks like two wires?

I have not tried a new fuse, will walk Into town (at a campsite) and get. 7.5. I have a spare 50,2 and 10. Got the motorhome less than a month ago and am slowly getting tools and extra together. Was waiting on this type of stuff for my husband to arrive (2days from now). I will get a meter while I’m at it.

Another thing that I’m confused about…manual said you might not have fuses in all slots. I have fuses in every slot, even in The solar slot but I don’t have solar.

Those are the water pipes.
The picture is a bit blurred but I don't see any wires so it's an external pressure switch operated pump.
Not much to go wrong except the 12v supply.
You really need a multi-meter even if you can't use one, someone will always instruct you in its use.
You can buy on Amazon/eBay for a few quid.

That's what I meant about the manual not always being correct.
It's the same for many cars and vans.

Incidentally, until you get new fuses you could pull a 10a fuse and put that in place of the 7.5a on a test basis.
It won't do any harm but may also blow if there is a fault

It is a Hymer it will have a submersible pump.

Is the pump not working at anytime?
are all taps effected?
does the toilet flush?

Apologies, wasn't looking that low.
Submersible pump then.
The power has to go to the tap switch first then to the pump.

If none of the taps turn on the pump the problem is most likely the 12v supply between the control panel and switches or the pump itself has failed
.
If it's only one tap which doesn't power the pump then that tap switch is faulty.

If it’s only one tap effected it will most likely to be a broken micro switch wire.

From the amount of posts I've seen from people with submersible pump problems the pump itself would be my first port of call.

Far easier to see if power is getting to the pump first rather than find the tank bung, unscrew and fish out pump then connect to a 12v supply to see if it works.
Checking the supply first can confirm the pump is or isn't at fault without even seeing it.

I'd get half a dozen if you can. With a meter you can check the fuse to see if it's blown. Also you can check the fuse slot without the fuse, one terminal should be +12V all the time, and the other will be zero volts. Then at least you know that power is available. Just to confirm, it's the last slot on the right, labelled 'Pumpe'

If you want a negative point for the meter probe, a convenient one is Pin1 of the 3-way connector in the top left - that's the top pin, the numbers are written next to it. All the negatives are connected together inside the EBL.

The pump is probably a Reich two-stage submersible pump, with a built-in one-way valve. How do I know? I think I'm on my third:rolleyes:

OP has admitted a meter is black magic and would need detailed instructions in its use.

Thanks for all the explanations. I’ve had C’More for less than a month. He’s still under warranty. To late to call Hymer today. Think I can pull into one of the dealers tomorrow and get them to look at it? I’m in Lyon France, or do I need to go through Hymer? Not even sure if I’m calling the right number.

I'm probably biased, but I think a cheap multimeter is extremely useful for diagnosing MH problems. I always carry one, and so do many others. Taking a voltage reading on a 12V system is simple and safe, and tells you all kinds of useful things. Other things like resistance and continuity readings are best left until you are a bit more confident. There's plenty of Youtube videos on how to start using a meter.

I’ve used a meter a long long long time ago so I’m sure I’ll figure it out. I found fuses in town but not a meter. It will be my next purchase.

I don't know how well you know France, but a big DIY store like Leroy Merlin, Mr Bricolage or Castorama will have meters.

Thank you🤞
Update: It was the pump. Went to four places before someone could replace it. It took just over an hour and they were really nice. So if your ever around Lyon and have problems try this place.
