Evening all. Long time lurker, first time poster.

Think I've either got an air lock or an air leak in my plumbing. Not really sure. All was working fine but then lots of spluttering, bubbling etc and now I can't get water out of any tap. Whether it's cold or hot. Pump's pumping, just nothing coming out other than air and the odd drip.

Been through the all the posts I can find and have tried:

- dumping all the water out of the boiler/heater
- leaving the pump on for ages (20 mins) with all taps open - both cold and hot
- leaving the pump on for ages with just the one tap open
- sucking through the shower hose with the pump on

Nothing's working so I'm guessing it might be a leak after all? There doesn't seem to be any suction on the water pipe sitting in the fresh water tank (which has got plenty of water in it) and it doesn't feel like the boiler is filling up properly either - sounds like some water's going in but there's a lot of bubbling as well.

I've been round and checked the pipes for water leaks and can't see anything obvious. Really appreciate any pointers as to where to go next. I'm already out of my depth really but happy to give anything a crack.

Thanks for any help. Sorry if it's a bit wordy

most external pumps ( which this sounds like you have ) have a filter bowl on the water tank side , check that is sealing or even check the gauze filter inside ( it simply unscrews ).
also, does you system have an accumulator which evens out pressure ? if so check its got water in and that has no leaks.
Remove pipe from pump outlet to check that it's pumping. I'm assuming external pump.

Brilliant. Thanks for replies. By external I assume you mean external to the boiler/tank, if so yes...it's a shureflow.
Not sure if the system has an accumulator. It's a pretty old van (2002 Bessacar) so I doubt it.

I do know it's got a little clear plastic bowl thing on one side which I reckon is the filter bowl mentioned. I'll see if I can get that off and have a play. Will also check the outlet pipe. If not I'll man-up and open it up.

Hi monkeyharris did you get to the bottom of this? My internally fed system has the same symptoms. No pump noise though when the taps are open and no signs of blown fuses, so I'm thinking dead pump ...

He’s a Free Member so maybe ran out of posts before he could answer, sounds like the pump has gone though , is it getting the 12v to it at the connector ?
