Sometime over winter I read an article with accompanying photo where a plastic bib was clipped under the water inlet cap so water didn’t dribble down the side of the ‘van. I’ve searched everywhere online for such a thing but can’t find one, anyone know who makes it?

Think what you describe is intended for the Truma boiler exhaust.

Doubt it would clip onto a water inlet.

Thanks it may well be that, and ,maybe wishful thinking on my part hoping what I'd seen would do my job.

Have seen that somewhere it's a sort of funnel that you use with a watering can might be worth giving Paul &Chrisy an email

Thanks Paul, I use a hose pipe connected with a Hozelock adapter to a HEOSolution cap, my water inlet is on the offside where I also have my Thule Safari tent, carpeted, etc. So when I fill up it’s very easy to overfill and water gets everywhere given the pressure on some fully serviced pitches; I was looking for something I could clip around the HEOS and then attach a flexi pipe to to divert the water away.

I would say trying to mod around something that doesn’t work for you would be harder than just fitting one of my designs instead. Do you know the filler neck dimensions. Look in my water Bung Hozelock classified, it will help you with where to measure.

Can you draw what you had in mind to clip onto your existing HEOS unit, before I persuade you into buying one of my existing designs.

Thanks Paul, I’d tried to find your ads last week but couldn’t see anything, I’m new to MHF so not sure how to search in the classifieds?

See if this link works for you. You can fit a drain pipe in the second hole.

Just wondering what you do when it rains to stop water dribbling down the outside of the van?

You're trying to find a solution to a problem which doesn't matter.

If you read my posts on this I’ve said that the water inlet is on the same side as the awning, which I then attach a Thule Safari Room to making a fully enclosed, and very dry room. FYI that’s how I stop “water dribbling down the outside of the van”!
