Water heater (1 Viewer)

2005 cheyenne water heater and central heating.
When I use hot water only on gas after maybe an hour the heating comes on, owned it’s four years and it’s just started
doing this, the heater itself under bed also smells very hot.
any ideas as it’s causing me to lose my cool .

Just wondering, do you mean the fan on the heater comes on or the actual gas fire?

The fan mate, I haven’t got a gas fire in my van.

what boiler have you got? possibility is its going to overheat and the fan kicks in to dissipate heat so possibly a thermostat problem

Could be the above. I was thinking that if that there is a switch on the fire called auto then if the heater gets too hot it turns that thermostat on. Either way I would get it checked out before using it again.
