Hi New to Forum
Purchased G741FC in September last year, having problem with filling with water as the water keeps coming back up the filler pipe.
i have connected a 20 inch hose pipe to filler cap and push this down the filler pipe but still a little water comes back up and also it is difficult pushing the pipe in as if catching on the inlet pipe.

Does anyone else experience this problem, if so has anyone come up with a solution.

regards
Trevor

Unless you fit a overflow lower than your filler point, water will come up the filler tubing.
I have no problem with water coming up and out, it tells me is full.

Thanks for reply Raul, the water is coming back up through pipe even when tank is empty i have to push hose more than 20" down filler pipe before the van starts to take any water on board, maybe pipe is kinked somewhere will ask dealer to look at next time the van is in.

Try one of these?

That’s the breather (second smaller) hose obstructed; if you got one.

Thanks Speve

This is what i have purchased, but still require 2 foot of hose pipe super glued to connector and pushed down inlet pipe.
I shall ask dealer as dont think this is correct, maybe pipe kinked.

Raul not sure on this one were would i likely find it

On the fill point you got a large filling tube/ hose and next to it is a 1/2 inch hose connected to upper side of the filler on a spigot. It allows air to escape out the tank as it fills up.

Maybe that filling cap you got is obstructing the air orifice located just above the filler

I would agree there it could be kinked or trapped ?

I think you may need a vented one.

I think you may need a vented one.
These caps are vented and have a short spout so should not interfere with the breather I use one all the time without problems.?

I took a photo, see on top the small breather hole. If a gasket is covering it, the it will prevent it from breathing.

If that’s the breather I can’t see that that has been the problem as OP using a hose right down into tank and a normal hose would leave plenty of space around filler for air to escape? I think there’s more to this than meets the eye?if it was mine I would take it back to dealer and get them to sort it out under warranty if they only got in September even used will have one.??

Thanks for all replys,

we will take a few days out and visit dealer ask them to look into this further.

Our water filler is a little b as well. There seems to be a "sweet spot" for a hose or the watering can to be in approx 40mm. Any further in it keeps "burping" water out, any less then it just overflows all the time.
