Hi all, been trying to find a post on here from a funster who 3d prints and sells an adapter for MH water fillers so that you can easily fill up using a watering can without pouring water down the side of the van. Can anybody point me in the right direction? Beginning to wonder if I imagined it 🤔🤔🤔

If you can’t find it, I just use a short length of corrugated flexible hose attached to the spout of the watering can. Seems to work well for me.

Hi
Sent you a PM with info on what I make for funsters. 👍

I found a domestic waste pipe connector with a 135 deg angle that fits nicely into the filler at local B &Q and gives an almost horizontal "filler" which is then dead easy to use from almost anything.

I use a simple plastic bottle with a long tapered neck. Just cut a rectangular hole in the bottle and place the narrow end in the water feed hole then pour the water from the watering can into the rectangle and you are good to go.
Cheap and endlessly renewable!

The best I’ve seen was a lovely bendy rubbery tube when we were on a tour or Norway . I asked the nice chap and it was one of the set of 4 sucker attachments for the teats used when milking cows! He was an ex farmer. So all you need is a trip to a farm supply shop with 3 friends really.

I have used for some years now a funnel with a flexible spout, bought from Halfords as an oil filler for a vehicle.
It has a fitted small filter and I attach it to a window lock with a loop of string, convenient as the filler is below a window but a small sucker with a hook would give the same result.
Not an original solution but it works for us. The filler funnel is bright orange so it is obvious if left in place!!

This works for me. Cobbled together from a cheap funnel and a couple of fittings from Plumbase.
The home made filler cap adapter was an earlier experiment but I rarely use a hose, just my two 10 litre buckets....

I (had) used a 15 litre collapsible Halfords water container and was forever tipping water over everywhere, especially when the hose pushed over the screw cap came off. 😂. It finally leaked its last at Merrose CMC site on the Bank Holiday weekend. A very kind Motorhomer, who was packing up, gave me his long spout 10 litre watering can and I'm now a total convert. I'm also dry when filling up so nolonger need a swimming costume to do the morning chores. 🙄

Bought your Whale adapter with the integrated hozelock fitting. It works perfectly and I've recommended it to fellow Auto Trail F line owners. As it's orange it's handy to use in the dark too!

I use exactly the same but with a piece of n my asking tape holding it to the van wall whilst filling.
