Looking to spend most of my time ‘off grid’… can carry 120 litres of fresh water… would like to know how to carry more??

Or take some concentrate.

carry extra water containers. 1 litre of water weighs 1kg

We spend our entire tours off grid. Where are looking to spend your time?
If you are not having showers every day then 120 Lt will last a week easily.

Most supermarkets sell water in 5 litre bottles. Why carry it when it is so easy to buy.

5 litres for just over £1 or 1 Euro and you know its good to drink.

We use an Aqua roll in the garage. 40l lasts 4 of us a day with showers.

Use bottled for drinking or get a good filter system.
Trap the rainwater from your van awning and direct back into the tank for showers, flushes, dishes, youll be surprised how much you can get in a good downpour. (via a filter if poss) and possible treatment in the tanks if storing for a while.

or even in Jerrys for easier cleaning every few days

You might find structural mods to your N&B are prohibitively expensive so your alternative might be to carry extra containers
These can be bottles from a supermarket (as described above) or the water rolls used by caravanners

I find this a strange request.
To transport/keep water you need a tank.. container..jerrycan ....aquaroll... jug.. cup.. anything that is waterproof... we all know that.
So surely that is your answer...

Now explain why....
Nobody is going to sit outside their house for days on end just on the off chance they may go out and hope nobody else is home when they burgle the house.
Far too much paranoia on here. :giggle:

How long does 120 litres last normally?
Do you conserve the water you have on board?
We have a camper shower every night, ie no running water until you rinse.
120 litres 5/6 days.

You would be surprised at what info can be gleaned from digital info these days, and what people will do.

Well I wouldnt but seems you would.

Our last van only had a 100Lt tank we used to carry 2 x 20 Lt containers in the garage and pump it over with a submersible pump.
Current van has 160 Lt tank so we can last 4 day both having a shower every day, longer if we miss the odd shower.
