Waste water update can you help ?

Good evening. A board evening so decided to find out why out waste water tank valve is open all the while. As soon as you try to close it with the switch in the garage an electric fault starts ticking under the water tank. I have taken the 4 screws out which hold the cover to the what I presume is the motor which opens and closes the waste water valve. The white box is where all the ticking is coming from. The blue dial with the letters S and O is this a manual override ? I’m not going to touch it till I know what it does. Do any of you bright sparks know anything about this unit ? It’s on a Hymer 2016 MH. TIA

Seems to be the same as Swift use, theirs says Sargent but I imagine they all come from China get different stickers put on, the +- is just a manual override so give it a twiddle and it should close, unless it is stuck and the clicking is the drive slipping.
