Thanks Wombles. Yes the plan is I shall be fronting this for next year subject to of course health. I shall be in my 75th year on this planet. So while the brain might be willing the body may have problems !!. I shall be looking for a couple of competent funsters to assist in 2020 as we have now been allocated the area alongside our usual area specifically for Motorhome Fun so looking for a good turnout to prove we can fill it.

Hi - do you mean Retrofestival? If so you need to book through Landy lover on here when the thread opens (not direct) to be in the Fun or RVOC area. If it's a different one please let me know which & I'll try & find the thread for you.

Oooops sorry, I got mixed up with the web links, and was looking at the wrong rally, I’ve found the correct rally now ?, the rally at Corfe Castle, I’ll be booking tomorrow, Norden farm

Camperfest - Chester Food Festival https://chesterfoodanddrink.co.uk/ 9-13 April 2020 - code EARLY20 gives 25% discount if booking before the end of November so just £52.50 for 4 nights Apparently if you put Motorhome Fun in the booking details it helps them to allocate an area.
This popular one has been on our wish list for several years now but it clashes date wise with other trips again next year.

Updated Appletree list now http://www.appletree-exhibitions.co.uk/ as it has changed - Romsey has gone but there's a New Forest one with camping - tempted by that one as great value for being camped right in the Forest. Also a new Shrewsbury one but for us this clashes with Highlands End Bridport & Jurassic Fields Festival Meet. Unusually their 9 night Stratford one is the same weekend as Stoneleigh Warners Show but looks like it's possible to do a bit of Stratford before Stoneleigh then back for Raceday (Tuesday 30th June) afterwards? Jim please do we have any Appletree discount codes for 2020?

Thanks for the dates, but believe Warner’s are killing of the shows with the high rates they charge the stand holders the shows are are getting smaller each year. Some are not worth going too apart from meeting up with friends

same video as last year - recorded at Lincoln 2017. Clearly the quality of the interviewees was so high that it was a waste of time trying to find anyone anywhere near as good.

We have only been to the Stoneleigh Show in recent years but last year Fun had the best camping area, the bands were good, coach to Leamington cheap so enjoyable day out, cheap camping & company of Funsters so overall good value. The stands & motorhomes for sale weren't of much interest to us, the toilet block & temporary showers weren't the best but the Farmers Fayre restaurant had good food & well priced so that made us happy!

Bookings for Warners Shows open today - Fun thread links on post above. For anyone new - some of these do get fully booked for the Fun areas so best to book soon if you do want to go to any of these - instructions on the first post on the threads & click on Watch (in black box above first post) to keep updated. Don't forget to pick Club Camping for £2 discount plus if you subscribe to MMM magazine then make sure you are logged in to the website when booking for an extra £5 off each Show.
The entertainment & stands at the Shows are not always to everyone's taste but many are worth it for the cheap camping, good value day trips & great company plus Fun normally have one of the best club camping areas

Birmingham NEC Shows 2020 Update:
Ticket booking now open for February Show https://www.ccmshow.co.uk/caravan-camping-motorhome-show 18-23 February - no NEC camping at this one.
Date now confirmed for October Show https://mcshow.co.uk/ 13-18 October - there will be NEC camping but booking unlikely to be open before March/April according to C&MC Events.

Happily there is now no clash between Stoneleigh & Stratford (I was looking at earlier email from Warners where Stoneleigh was originally meant to be later ) & one leads on to the other so possible to have a long great value break with the Scottish Show after that!
